Bread Winners Circle Clothing was founded by Odell Arthur and Jermaine Deleston in March 2013. Two urban kids from Bronx NY who were merely just next door neighbors then became childhood friends and overtime no longer consider themselves friends they are now family.
They both had a passion for fashion with big dreams and little to no money but that’s the norm when your growing up in the communities they come from. Regardless of their living conditions and lack of finances they never made any excuses.
For instance Jermaine who has a rare neurological disease called (SMA) which stands for spinal muscular atrophy type 3. Being confined to a wheelchair he still didn’t let his disability prevent him from achieving his dreams of wanting to become a clothing designer. Instead of letting his personal situation stop him, he actually used the wheelchair as a stepping stone to climb towards bigger accomplishments which he hopes to inspire everyone to believe in themselves.
Odell grew up in a poverty stricken neighborhood riddled with drugs and violence like many other inner city youths but to his benefit he had hard working parents that did their best to make ends meet who also forwarded him the knowledge to make better decisions in his life so he wouldn’t be a statistic but to be more of a difference maker.
Odell and Jermaine both collectively came up with the name Bread Winners Circle because they both wanted their brand to bring a sense of dignity, respect, positivity and to promote financial freedom.
At the end of the day we all want to be bread winners so we can support ourselves, our families as well as give back to a stranger who may be in need.
